ยง 5.113.21 Executive Order-No. 113.21: Finding of an Emergency and Determination that the State University of New York and the City University of New York Shall, Immediately and to the Fullest Extent Possible, Establish Scholarship Programs to Provide the Innocent Victims and the Spouses and Children of Innocent Victims Who Have Died or Have Become Severely Disabled as a Result of the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attack on the United States of America, With Financial Support to Pay the Cost of Tuition, Room and Board, Fees, Books, Supplies and Transportation

WHEREAS, on September 11, 2001, I issued Executive Order Number 113 declaring a disaster emergency in the State of New York;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE E. PATAKI, Governor of the State of New York, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and Laws of the State of New York, do hereby continue Executive Order Number 113, dated September 11, 2001, except that such Executive Order is amended to read as follows:

FURTHER, I direct the Boards of Trustees of the State University of New York and the City University of New York, immediately and to the fullest extent possible, to establish scholarship programs to provide the innocent victims, and the spouses and children of the innocent victims, who have died or have become severely disabled as a result of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the United States of America, with the financial support to pay for the costs of tuition, room and board, fees, books, supplies and transportation for attendance at any of the institutions of higher education under their respective jurisdictions, with appropriate provisions for the statutory and contract colleges.
